Welcome to the course on PSY 102: Trauma and Healing from Gender-Based Violence Understanding Gender-Based Violence (GBV), taught by Tina Vundi. This course spans eight weeks, each dedicated to a specific aspect of Gender-Based Violence. By the end of this course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to address GBV in various contexts, particularly within African communities.
Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

2. Understand the psychological and physical impacts of GBV on survivors.
3. Apply trauma-informed counseling techniques to support survivors effectively.
4. Recognize the role of gender norms and power dynamics in perpetuating GBV.
